Satyajit Ray (1921-1992) was the first director from India to gain global recognition. Equally gifted as a graphic artist, musician, writer and director, Ray’s work transcended all boundaries: of genres and art forms as well as cultures. In the lecture & film series “An Eye for the World: The Cinema of Satyajit Ray” renowned specialists discuss the enduring legacy and significance of Ray in a post-globalization world.
